In July, 1inch had some major news - catch up with our quick digest.

Updates, news and integrations

In July, 1inch introduced an improved token warning system, making it more interactive in a bid to further enhance 1inch dApp users’ swap experience.

Powered by 1inch Shield and based on data provided by Web3 Antivirus, the system is designed to take the protection of 1inch users’ swap experience to the next level.

With the improved token warning system, users are benefitting from an extra layer of protection. The system introduces several risk categories for tokens, based on which users are either warned about potential risks or blocked from transactions involving potentially malicious tokens. You can learn more about the token categories in this post.

Meanwhile, the newest project to integrate the 1inch Swap API was the SafePal wallet. The integration enabled SafePal to offer users seamless and secure swaps. To celebrate the integration, a raffle for 300 limited-edition SafePal hardware wallets was launched.

Other notable integrations in July included SwapX v4, whose liquidity is now routed through 1inch, and THENA’s v3.3.

Events

On July 30, Ethereum marked its 10th anniversary. For 1inch, this was especially meaningful, as our journey began at an Ethereum hackathon. In 2019, future 1inch co-founders Sergej Kunz and Anton Bukov built the prototype of the 1inch DEX aggregator during an ETHGlobal event. What started as an experiment on Ethereum has grown into a powerful DeFi gateway used by millions today. To honor the occasion, 1inch hosted a celebration in Dubai.
